Michelle Obama Opens Farmers Market Near White House
New FRESHFARM Market is open through October
The First Lady opens the White House Market on September 17, 2009. Throughout the fall, visit The Farm At Sunnyside, and other local producers, on Thursdays, 3-7 pm (810 Vermont St).
Metrorail and metrobus accessible, the White House Market sells local pasture-raised meats, artisan cheeses, milk and yogurt, fresh fruits and vegetables, breads and baked goods, cut flowers, preserves and more.
