The Farm At Sunnyside places a high value on relationships with key partners and friends.

FreshFarm Markets operates a network of producer-only farmers’ markets in and around Washington, D.C., including the Dupont Circle and Penn Quarter markets where we sell our eggs, fruit and vegetables.

Rappahannock County provides the perfect environment in which to work and live. Its commitment to protecting a rural and scenic character stand out dramatically in a region choked by poorly planned development.

The Farm-to-Table Program is a collaboration between the Rappahannock County Public Schools, the local non-profit Headwaters and others that provides an opportunity to educate Rappahannock youth about farming and nutrition. Students visit The Farm At Sunnyside regularly to learn about organic practices and help with various farm tasks.

Pennsylvania Certified Organic is a USDA-accredited organic certifying agency. They certify The Farm At Sunnyside’s organic status, inspect our operations annually and assist us with information and questions about changing organic compliance regulations.

Virginia Outdoors Foundation (VOF) seeks to promote the preservation of open space lands in Virginia.  VOF holds the conservation easement on Sunnyside and assists the farm in ensuring that its operations maintain the integrity of the easement contract, which guarantees the permanent protection of the property’s scenic and open space character.

Flavor Magazine is a new bimonthly publication dedicated to local food and wine and sustainable agriculture in Virginia’s Piedmont region. The Farm At Sunnyside’s Michael Clune is a regular contributor.

Other local Rappahannock farms provide invaluable assistance, advice and friendship as well as spectacular food. They include Mt. Vernon Farm (grass-fed meat), Touchstone Farm (natural lamb and wool) and Waterpenny Farm (ecologically grown vegetables).
